The Story of Joseph in Bible Coloring Pages

The story of Joseph, son of Jacob, is told in Genesis 37-50. From being a dreamer and his brothers' favorite, to being sold into slavery, then rising to high-ranking official in Egypt, Joseph's journey is one of faith, resilience, and eventual triumph. This narrative is brought to life in vivid detail on our coloring pages, with each illustration telling a piece of Joseph's incredible story.

By coloring these scenes, you're not just filling in shapes, but tracing the footsteps of a man who remained faithful to God despite trials and betrayal, setting an example for all of us.

Joseph's Dreams and Brothers' Jealousy

Our first coloring page displays young Joseph among his brothers, proudly sharing his dreams of prominence. The expressions on his brothers' faces, rendered carefully in the illustration, hint at the grief and resentment that will follow. As you color this scene, reflect on how words and actions can stir jealousy and division.

Consider the lessons we can learn about humility and thoughtful communication from Joseph's bold dream-sharing, and the consequences of allowing envy to grow unchecked, as seen among his brothers.

Journey to Slavery & Rise to Power

Color how Joseph, thrust into a cistern by his own brothers, becomes a slave in Egypt. Next, watch him rise against all odds to become the second-in-command to Pharaoh, the most powerful man in the world. Each of our pages tells a part of this remarkable journey, from Joseph's toil as a slave, to his interpretation of dreams in Pharaoh's prison, and finally, to his appointment as the ruler of Egypt responsible for implementing a successful famine relief plan.

As you fill in each scene, marvel at God's hand in Joseph's life, moving him from the pit to the palace, and consider the potential for transformation in your own story.

Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors

A iconic symbol of Joseph's favored status among his brothers, the 'coat of many colors' is a gift from their father Jacob. Our coloring pages depict this beautiful garment - a perfect opportunity to use a variety of colors, vibrating with the richness of Joseph's unique relationship with his father.

Consider that, as Jacob's special gift to Joseph, this coat represents a deep and loving bond. Yet to the brothers, it symbolizes Jacob's favoritism, highlighting the stark difference in their perspectives.

The Sale of Joseph

In one of our moving illustrations, the brothers prepare to sell Joseph into slavery. As you fill in the lines, reflect on the depth of their anger and jealousy, and the tragic consequences of letting such emotions fester.

In this critical moment, consider the perspective of both Joseph and his brothers, asking what you might have done in each of their shoes, and the personal cost and gain of each action.

Joseph Meets His Brothers in Egypt

A powerful moment of reconciliation comes on our coloring pages where Joseph, now a powerful official in Egypt, meets his brothers after many years. As you color this scene, reflect on Joseph's forgiveness - not just granting it, but actively seeking to heal his brothers' guilt.

In this moment of grace, consider how Joseph's forgiveness marks a turning point in the family's history, paving the way for their eventual reunion.

The beauty of Bible coloring pages is not just in the act of coloring them, but in the thoughtful reflection they inspire. As you color through the story of Joseph and his brothers, you're invited to delve into themes of faith, betrayal, forgiveness, and redemption, and to see how these themes play out in your own life and relationships.
