Bluey, the titular character, is a 6-year-old Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) who loves to play and learn. Her vibrant blue colors represent her energy, enthusiasm, and boundless imagination.

Bluey and Her Family

The Heelers, Bluey's family, are the core of the show. Their color palettes are warm and inviting, reflecting their loving and supportive dynamic.

Bluey's mum and dad, Chloe and Bandit, are fun and loving parents who encourage Bluey and her little sister Bubble to explore and learn. Chloe's earthy greens and Bandit's earthy browns create a calming and stable environment for their daughters.

Bluey's Appearance

Bluey's blue fur and reddened paws and markings are iconic. Her animated design helps to express her emotions, with changes in the shades of blue indicating her mood. For instance, her fur darkens when she's deep in thought or upset, and lightens when she's happy or excited.

Her white and black suit and sneakers are not just for style; they also help viewers distinguish her from other characters when she's in costume or demonstrating different roles during play.

Bubble's Appearance

Bluey's younger sister, Bubble, is a light blue puppy with lighter, almost pink, markings around her face and limbs. Her color scheme is softer and more innocent, reflecting her younger age and her tendency to be guided by her older sister's imagination.

Her clothing choices, often inspired by Bluey's ideas, also add to her unique appearance. Her light blue pajamas, for example, are a comfortable and playful addition to her character design.

Bluey's Friends and Role-Play Characters

Bluey and Bubble have a fantastic array of friends and role-play characters that enrich the show's vibrant world, each with their own distinct color palettes.

Calypso, Bluey's best friend, has a bright yellow fur color scheme that signifies her cheerful and friendly demeanor. Her outfits often feature patterns inspired by her tropical name and shared love for adventure.

Calypso's Appearance

Calypso's bright yellow fur makes her stand out among the characters. Her primary color is accompanied by black and white markings, and often wears a blue jersey with a white and black star print. This combination stressed her contrast and individuality among the Heelers.
