From fan art to self-portraits, the Bangtan Boys have shared their artwork on social media platforms, sparking inspiration among fans and even nascient artists. Their unique style and passion for art have transformed the way we see colored pencil drawings. Let's explore this artistic side of BTS.

BTS Members' Artwork

Each member of BTS possesses a unique artistic style, reflecting their individuality. Jungkook, often referred to as the "Golden Maknae," showcases exceptional skill with a pencil. His portraits of fellow members and famous figures display an uncanny ability to capture likeness and nuance. RM, the group's leader, prefers expressive and abstract drawings, often incorporating text for added dimension. The other members - Suga, Jimin, V, and Jin - also share their artwork occasionally, showcasing their talent and alignments with different drawing styles.

Many of these artworks can be found on the members' personal social media accounts. BTS' management, Big Hit Music, also periodically shares members' artwork, providing a glimpse into their creative processes and personalities.

Jungkook's Portraits

Jungkook's portraits are a testament to his skill and passion for drawing. From his iconic drawing of Jimin to his self-portrait, each piece radiates a natural talent for capturing the essence of the subject. His use of light and shading with colored pencils brings a depth and emotion to his drawings that is hard to achieve with other mediums.

Take, for instance, his drawing of Jimin. The placement of the colored pencils highlights the facial features, bringing them to life. The soft shading on the neck and shoulders provides a sense of depth, while the vibrant colors in the background show a playful side to the seriousness of the piece. It's a delightful blend of skill and fun, truly representative of both artists.

RM's Expressivism

RM's artwork is more expressive than realistic, often incorporating words or phrases into his drawings. His use of color is bold and daring, with kaleidoscopic patterns and vibrant hues creating a vibrant, dynamic style. Rather than trying to capture a likeness, RM is more focused on conveying emotion and attitude.

In one notable piece, RM draws a tiger with mystical, colorful patterns and the words "Tiger Within." The tiger, a symbol of strength and courage in Korean culture, perfectly captures RM's inner determination and relentless spirit. The mixture of strong, bold lines and bright colors underscores the power and energy of the tiger, communicating RM's inner strength.

BTS' Impact on Colored Pencil Art

BTS has improved much more than their own artistic skills. They've greatly influenced the global perception and practice of colored pencil art. Their artworks reveal the versatility and depth of colored pencils as a medium, inspiring many to pick up their own pencils and experiment.

Moreover, BTS has democratized art. Once seen as an elite pursuit, the popularity of BTS' drawings has made art more accessible. Their works show that art can be created with simple tools - no expensive paints or brushes required. This has inspired many, especially among younger generations, to try their hand at drawing.

BTS' simple yet powerful drawings have inspired fans worldwide. ARMYs, as BTS' fan base is known, have taken to social media to share their own colored pencil drawings. Many of these drawings reimagine the members as mythical creatures, superheroes, or fantasy characters. Others are self-portraits or fan art inspired by BTS' music videos or lyrics.

The quality of these fan drawings is astonishing. It's clear that BTS' artistry has inspired a new generation of artists. These fan art pieces also serve as a testament to BTS' global influence and their impact on pop culture.

BTS' art has transcended the boundaries of social media to enter the realm of mainstream art. Several of their pieces have been exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide.
