The Biblical Story Behind the Empty Tomb Coloring Page

The Empty Tomb Coloring Page is centered around the commodious rock tomb where Jesus was laid to rest following his crucifixion. But the story doesn't end there. On the third day, an angel rolled away the stone, and Jesus rose from the dead, leaving behind a tomb that was empty indeed. This miracle is a pivotal moment in Christianity, symbolizing hope, salvation, and the promise of eternal life.

Through coloring, children can visualize the scene from a familiar Gospel account: Mary Magdalene and the other women visiting the tomb, only to find it empty. The whiteemptystone.jpg

Key Bible Verse to Accompany the Coloring Page

The Empty Tomb Coloring Page is ideally paired with John 20:1-18, which narrates the discovery of the empty tomb and Jesus' appearance to Mary Magdalene. By exploring this passage together, children can better grasp the meaning behind the empty tomb and the incredible news it carries.

Present the coloring page to the children, explaining that the verse is like a coloring page for our minds. We fill in the details as we learn and understand more about God's love and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
