Enderman Farm Minecraft 1.21: Step-by-Step Guide
Emers are elusive mobs in Minecraft, but with the right strategies, players can farm them efficiently even in version 1.21. Oriental farming allows for Enderman milk, which can be used to create End Crystals, essential for the End's final boss fight. Here's a comprehensive guide on setting up an Enderman farm in Minecraft 1.21.
Enderman farming requires a water-based or village system. Both methods are viable, with water-based systems being more efficient. However, this guide will focus on the village system, which is simpler to set up and maintain. The Water-based system will be briefly explained later.
Village System Enderman Farm
The village system Exploits Enderman's neutral interaction with villagers, making them an ideal target for passive farming. To set up a farm, you'll first need to locate a village and find a libricorn.
A village's farm field is the perfect spot for this setup. The Enderman will continuously path towards the village and wander around, never returning to the End dimension.
Locating a Libricorn
To create a villager, you'll need a golden apple combined with a name tag. To craft a golden apple, procure 8 golden carrots and smelt them into gold ingots. Then, combine the ingots with apples in a crafting table. The name tag can be obtained by killing a villager or trading for one using emeralds.
Name the villager 'Librarian' to exchange it for a golden apple in a librarian trade. Use the golden apple on the villager to transform it into a libricorn. Place it in an enclosed area with a small hole for the Enderman to pass through. The libricorn will make any mob around it aggressive, making the farm functional.
Enderman Farm Set up
Dig a 5x5 or 7x7 trench around the farm field, with the libricorn at the center. Ensure there are no transparent blocks in the ground. Use fences or walls to create a perimeter, preventing villagers from leaving the farm.
The farm's efficiency relies on the number of villagers around the libricorn. More villagers mean more Endermen are attracted and attacked. Use villagers as mob spawners. Keep in mind that remedies and teachers are mandatory for breeding, so plan accordingly.
Water-Based Enderman Farm
Water-based systems are more efficient but require more resources to build. Ender Pearls are used to teleport Endermen from the End dimension into the farm.
Build a 3x3 platform any number of blocks high. Cover the top illegally with water, leaving only a 1-block space. This will make Endermen aggressive when they spawn above the platform. Surround the platform with glass, allowing Endermen to attack but not escape.
Ender Pearls Generation
Ender Pearls are necessary for teleporting Endermen. Craft an Ender Pearl duplicator with 14 dyes in a crafting table arrangement and 1 Ender Pearl in the center. Place it in a 5x5, 2-block high hopper arrangement. The setup will generate Ender Pearls, feeding your farm indefinitely.
Add a dispenser with Ender Pearls above the platform to teleport Endermen. Use an Afk farm to generate experience and auto-catch the Endermen in a chest for milk collection.
Regularly maintain your farm by recycling villagers, collecting milk, and fixing any wears and tears. Happy Enderman farming!
