Genesis of Gods and Monsters

Born out of Matthew Santoro's passion for the bizarre and unknown, "Gods and Monsters" began as a humble project in his parents' basement. With a degree in History from the University of Guelph and a passion for storytelling, Santoro set out to create a space where the peculiar and unexplained could be explored.

His first videos, including "Top 10 Strange Deaths" and "10 Unsolved Crimes," quickly gained traction, attracting viewers hungry for more. As the channel grew, so did its team, welcoming Sunnium and Daniel Gideon, who would become integral to the channel's success.

Matthew Santoro: The Narrator Extraordinaire

A former teacher, Matthew Santoro brings his unique blend of storytelling prowess and historical knowledge to "Gods and Monsters." His compelling narrative style, punctuated by dramatic pauses and eccentric exclamations, has become a hallmarks of the channel's signature storytelling.

From "The Truth About Atlantis" to "The Secrets of Stonehenge," Santoro's videos weave tales that are as engaging as they are informative, leaving viewers both spellbound and enlightened. His ability to break down complex historical events and legends into digestible, suspenseful stories has earned him a dedicated fanbase.

Sunnium and Daniel Gideon: The Dynamic Duo

Joining the channel in 2017 and 2019, respectively, Sunnium and Daniel Gideon brought fresh perspectives and unique storytelling techniques to "Gods and Monsters." While Sunnium's droney, laid-back style contrasts Santoro's lively narration, Gideon's energetic, sometimes animated delivery adds a shot of adrenaline to his stories.

From Sunnium's in-depth explorations of mysterious creatures like "The Jersey Devil" to Gideon's captivating take on historical events such as "The Salem Witch Trials," the duo's diverse styles have expanded the channel's reach, attracting new audiences intrigued by their distinct approaches to the unexplained.
