The Biblical Scene: Jesus and the Little Children

At the heart of our coloring page is the tender scene of Jesus welcoming and blessing the little children. This act, as recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, illustrates Jesus' love and compassion for children.

In this scene, the disciples initially try to prevent the children from approaching Jesus, believing they are not important. However, Jesus contradicts this notion, saying, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14, NIV).

The Importance of Children in Christianity

The Bible values and emphasizes the pure, innocent nature of children. They represent simplicity, faith, and trust, qualities that Christians are encouraged to adopt. Through this scene, Jesus teaches us to embrace these qualities, reminding us that our faith should be as childlike.

Moreover, Jesus uses children as an example when explaining the qualities necessary for entering the kingdom of God. In Matthew 18:3, He says, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Thus, this scene teaches us about humility, submission, and reliance on God.

Our coloring page brings this story to life with vivid illustrations, inviting children to engage with the scene and bring their own interpretation to it. By coloring the page, they not only create a beautiful piece of art but also develop an understanding of the Bible story and its message.
