Palm Sunday: The triumphant entry into Jerusalem

One of the most cherished Jesus Easter coloring pages for kids is the scene of Jesus's triumphant entry into Jerusalem. This event, known as Palm Sunday, is marked by crowds waving palm branches and lining the streets, as they welcome Jesus with great joy and excitement. Help your child recreate this magnificent scene through vibrant colors.

Talk about how Jesus was humble and rode a donkey despite being received like a king. Explain how this scene shows that Jesus knew that he was entering Jerusalem for his final days and to fulfill his mission. This coloring page not only provides a great opportunity to learn but also sets the stage for the events to come during the Holy Week.

The Last Supper: Jesus's farewell with his disciples

Another powerful Jesus Easter coloring page for kids is "The Last Supper." This significant event, held on Maundy Thursday, captures Jesus's final dinner with his closest friends, as he predicts his betrayal, washes their feet, and institutes the rituals of the Eucharist and washing of the feet.

In this coloring page, children can pay close attention to details, such as the gestures and expressions of the apostles, the humble foot-washing moment, and the bread and wine representing Jesus's body and blood. As they color, you can explain the profound meaning behind this special gathering and its relevance in Christian tradition today.

Easter Sunday: Celebrating Jesus' resurrection

No Easter celebration would be complete without commemorating Jesus' resurrection. Our collection of Jesus Easter coloring pages for kids features various joyous and heartwarming scenes from Easter Sunday, perfect for capturing the essence of this hope-filled and triumphant day.

From the Discovery of the Empty Tomb to scenes of Jesus meeting Mary Magdalene and the Apostles, these coloring pages provide an engaging way to teach kids about the core belief of Christianity – the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ's resurrection.

The Empty Tomb: Jesus is not here, He is risen!

The story of the empty tomb is the climax of the Easter story, and it's beautifully depicted in one of our Jesus Easter coloring pages for kids. This page illustrates the moment when Mary Magdalene, along with other women, discovers that Jesus' tomb is empty, and an angel explains that Jesus has risen from the dead.

As your child colors this exciting scene, discuss the emotions of the women and the significance of the angel's message. Point out the details, such as the stone rolled away from the tomb, the overturned graveclothes, and the angel's presence. Explain how this discovers marks the beginning of a new life, both for Jesus and for all of us who believe in him.

Jesus meets his disciples: Share the good news

A wonderful Easter scene for kids to color is the meeting between Jesus and his disciples after his resurrection. In this touching moment, Jesus appears to his twelve apostles, showing them the wounds on his hands and side, and commissioning them to spread His teachings.

When coloring this page, ask your child to think about the expressions on the disciples' faces. Discuss how they might be feeling – surprised, joyful, or perhaps still unsure.
