In the expansive universe of Star Wars, clone commanders played a pivotal role, serving as the mid-level officers of the Grand Army of the Republic. These commanders were integral in managing and leading clone troopers in battle, aiding in the Jedi Knight's mission to maintain peace and justice in the galaxy. This list explores some of the most notable clone commanders from the prequel trilogy era.

Before delving into individual clone commanders, it's essential to understand their hierarchy and purpose. Clone commanders were ranked just below the clone marshal class and above the republic commanders. They were responsible for leading a company of clone troopers, which typically consisted of three to four clone troops. Their strategic and tactical decisions significantly influenced the outcome of battles.
