Toad's Origins and Appearance

Toad, also known as Kinopio in Japan, first appeared in the 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game, Super Mario Bros. This green, mushroom-headed character is a long-time ally and friend of Mario and Luigi, always ready to lend a helping hand in their quests.

Our free Toad coloring page showcases Toad's signature appearance - a round, humanoid body with a green cap resembling a mushroom, big eyes, and a wide, charming smile. This design allows kids to fill in the details, add their own flair, and even create their own Toad-inspired stories.

The Cap and Clothing

One distinctive feature of Toad is his red cap with a white "T" printed on it. This symbol is reminiscent of his name and adds a fun touch to the coloring page, as kids can experiment with different shades of red and white to create their own unique Toad cap.

Our Toad coloring page also includes his shirt and shoes, providing additional opportunities for color experimentation. Toad's shirt is usually depicted as white with a red, horizontal stripe, giving kids a chance to try out different shades of these colors and maybe even add some personal touches.

Toad's Body and Eyes

Toad's body is typically colored green, representing hisałaki (mushroom) heritage. Our coloring page provides a large, smooth surface for kids to fill in this base color and experiment with different shades of green.

The wide, friendly eyes of Toad serve as another creative outlet. Kids can decide whether to fill them in with one solid color, create a gradient effect, or add details like highlights and shadows to give Toad an extra touch of personality.
