Meet the Characters: Moana and Friends

At the heart of every Moana coloring page is, of course, Moana herself. She's a strong, determined, and kind young woman who sets sail on a daring mission to save her island. Your kids can color her dramatizing the epic moments from her journey.

But Moana isn't the only character worth meeting. She's joined by a host of memorable friends, from the wisecracking rooster Heihei to the dim-witted yet lovable Pua. Your little ones can bring these humorous characters to life with their crayons and markers.

Moana and the Heart of Te Fiti

One of the most iconic scenes from the movie features Moana confronting the lava demon Te Kā to retrieve the heart of Te Fiti. This dramatic moment is captured in our Moana coloring pages, where your kids can decide if the scene unfolds in the fiery reds and oranges of a volcano or the serene blues and greens of a tropical island.

Encourage your child to think about the significance of the heart of Te Fiti and the importance of balance and harmony. They can color Moana as she courageously faces her fears and restores the heart, using bold, vibrant colors to emphasize her bravery.

Moana and the Ocean

Moana's journey takes her across the vast Pacific Ocean, where she encounters incredible creatures and faces monstrous challenges. Our Moana coloring pages offer plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful, mysterious world beneath the waves.

Your child can color Moana in various scenes, from riding the wave with her magical canoe to meeting the trickster crab, Tamatoa. They can also add their own creative touches to the mythical creatures they encounter, like the fearsome Kakamora or the mischievous sharks, Pua and his family.

The Magic of Wayfinder Maui

No Moana coloring page would be complete without featuring the charismatic demigod, Maui. With his tattooed body and magical fishhook, Maui is as much a force of nature as he is a trickster god. Your kids can color him in various poses, from his solo song-and-dance number to his epic battle against Te Kā.

Maui's unique style offers a wealth of coloring possibilities. Your child can experiment with different skin tones and tattoo patterns, or add their own special effects to his magical transformations. They can also use their imagination to color the pies Maui loves to steal, perhaps filling them with treats and treasures from across the world.

Maui and the Sun

In one of the film's most memorable scenes, Maui steals the heart of Te Fiti and uses it to make himself a new sun – a fanciful nod to Polynesian mythology. This light-hearted moment is captured in our Moana coloring pages, where your child can color Maui basking in his own glory, or perhaps escaping a hail of coconuts from the disapproving sea chickens.

Encourage your little one to think about the importance of balance in the world, and how even well-meaning actions can have unintended consequences. They can color the sun in bright, warm hues, or perhaps make it a little askew to show that Maui's ideal world isn't quite perfect.

Maui and the Monsters

Maui's adventures often involve confronting and outsmarting mythical creatures. Our Moana coloring pages feature him in a variety of monster-battling scenes, from facing down the giant crab to trading quips with the menacing Te Kā.

Your child can color Maui performing his signature moves, like pulling out his hook or shapeshifting into various objects. They can also admire the fearsome details of the monsters he faces, perhaps adding their own touches to make them even more fantastical.

With our free Moana coloring pages, you can bring the magic and wonder of this enchanting story into your home. Watch as your child grows with Moana, learning about courage, determination, and the power of identity. And with each page they color, they'll build a unique, colorful celebration of their own journey, just like Moana'sVoyage to the heart of herself.
