To download the stencil, simply click the link provided and save the file to your computer. Once saved, print the stencil on a standard 8.5 x 11-inch piece of paper. We recommend using a heavyweight paper or cardstock for best results.

Preparing the Pumpkin

Once you have your stencil printed and ready to go, it's time to prepare your pumpkin. Start by cleaning the pumpkin to remove any dirt or residue. Next, cut off the top of the pumpkin (about two inches below the stem) to create a lid. Scoop out the insides, removing all the seeds and pulp until only the walls remain.

Pro tip: Don't throw away those seeds! You can rinse and dry them, then roast them for a tasty snack later.

Placing and Attaching the Stencil

Now that your pumpkin is ready, it's time to attach your Beetlejuice stencil. Carefully position the stencil on the front of the pumpkin, ensuring that the design is centered and well-aligned. Use pushpins or thumbtacks to secure the stencil to the pumpkin.

To make tracing the design easier, lightly score the stencil lines onto the surface of the pumpkin using a ballpoint pen or a nail.

Carving the Beetlejuice Pumpkin

With your stencil securely attached and the design lightly scored onto the pumpkin, it's time to start carving.

The key to a successful carving job is to take your time and be patient. Carve along the lines of the stencil, working from the inside of the pumpkin outwards. This will help you maintain the structural integrity of the pumpkin and ensure that your design turns out just the way you want it.

The Face and Details

When carving the face and details of Beetlejuice, focus on the intricate aspects of the character. Use a sharp carving knife to carefully cut out the features, such as the eyes, mouth, and the distinctive " Ghostbusters" inspired logo on his ghostly case.

For the smaller details, you may find it helpful to use a smaller carving tool or even a X-Acto knife for precision.

The Back of the Pumpkin

While Beetlejuice is the focal point of our stencil, don't forget about the back of the pumpkin! Our stencil includes a simple yet spooky "NO TOUCHING!" sign to place on the back of your pumpkin.
