1. Start with basic shapes: Begin by sketching simple bodily forms, such as circles for heads and rectangles for torsos, to establish the character's structure. This will help you maintain a consistent proportion throughout the drawing process.
2. Refine the design: Add details, such as facial features and clothing, using the basic shapes as a foundation. Consider the character's role in the story and design their appearance accordingly.
3. Experiment with different styles: Draw inspiration from various artistic styles, movies, and literature to create unique and engaging characters. Don't be afraid to mix and match elements from different sources to create something entirely new.

To achieve this, artists use various techniques, such as facial expressions, body language, and color choices. Printable comic strip templates with characters can help artists practice and perfect these techniques by offering a diverse cast of characters expressing various emotions.

Observing and capturing distinct emotions is an essential skill for comic artists.
