Jesus' Water into Wine Miracle

The first miracle Jesus performed, as recorded in John 2, is turning water into wine at a wedding feast, demonstrating his divine power and love for humanity. This story serves as an excellent starting point for children to understand Jesus' miraculous abilities.

Our free coloring page captures the moment when Jesus instructs the servants to fill the jars with water, which miraculously becomes wine, saved the day when the wine ran out, and delighted the host and guests.

Key Events in the Story

In this coloring page, kids can color in the servants filling the water jars, Jesus performing the miracle, and the happy wedding guests enjoying the fantastic outcome. As they work on the page, parents or teachers can share the story's highlights, helping children grasp the importance of faith and obedience.

Encourage children to think about how they can show faith and trust in Jesus in their daily lives, just as the servants did, by following His instructions.

Coloring Tips and Ideas

To make the coloring page even more engaging, suggest color schemes inspired by the story, such as using blue for the water jars and wine, green for the vineyard, and warm colors for the wedding guests' clothing. You could also encourage children to add details like flowers, other wedding decorations, or people dancing to make the scene more lively.

As they color, remind children that Jesus can take simple things, like water, and transform them into something wonderful when we trust and obey Him. This concept can help them grasp the power of faith and dependence on God.

The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes

Another remarkable miracle performed by Jesus, as told in Matthew 14, is feeding a crowd of over 5,000 people with just five loaves and two fish. This story illustrates Jesus' care and provision for those in need and serves as a powerful lesson in generosity and sharing.

Our free coloring page depicts the heartwarming moment when the young boy offers his meager lunch to Jesus, who then miraculously multiplies it to feed the entire crowd, leaving plenty of food for each person, and even gathering twelve baskets of leftovers.

Lessons from the Story

As children color this page, they can imagine the vast crowd of people, the little boy sharing his food, and Jesus blessing and multiplying the meal. Discuss how the boy trusted Jesus with his small offering, and how Jesus used it to do something incredible, helping the children understand the power of generosity and compassion.

Encourage kids to think about their own resources and how they, too, can trust Jesus with what they have, whether it's time, talents, or other gifts, knowing that He can use them to make a difference and bless others.

Creative Coloring Ideas

When coloring this page, suggest using sandwich-like colors for the loaves of bread and fish, emphasizing their central role in the story. Children could also add green grass around the crowd,Boy, and Jesus, creating a lush, inviting scene. Encourage them to use their imagination to create additional details, like people eating happily or birds watching the scene from above.

As they color, remind children that Jesus sees and uses even the smallest acts of faith and kindness, just like He multiplied the boy's lunch to feed the multitudes.
